They have some really neat planes here . Kids didn't understand the time when a lot of info and planes are from but for anyone over 30 you will definitely learn something even if you really are into the history of ww2 until now.
Bill Westgard was the best guide ever. His knowledge about the planes is incredible. It was neat to hear his first hand stories about flying the planes during Vietnam. He kept our 4 and 7 year old entertained. We feel honored to have spent the morning with him. Thank you Bill.
Sitting just off of the famous base in Dover, DE, this museum is a great place to enjoy the history of the USAF. You are able to take in a view of the airfield and enjoy a wonderful indoor/outdoor hybrid exhibit space both. The volunteers and staff are very knowledgable and a good majority have some form of military service!
This place is absolutely amazing! The maintenance on the airplanes is perfect. The staff is helpful. The museum is overall very informative (the history on the supply lines to Berlin is specially interesting). The store is really good too. It is worth checking and supporting with donations and purchases.
Great educational experience. The gentlemen were very knowledgeable and extremely kind. Patient and very forthcoming with information. Definitely worth doing
